philosophy purity made simple

philosophy purity made simple
another philosphy dud
+take make up off in one step,
+even stubborn eye make up
+a little goes a long way
-not cheap
-breaks me out
I know this cleanser had a cult following. And qvc had a great deal on a super size, which I bought. I use it to wash the make up off, then wash my face again with something else to avoid zits. I won't buy it again.

Physicians Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion

Physicians Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion
A winner in the eye makeup removal department.
+does not sting
+does not break me out
+cuts even waterproof mascara
+no fragrance
+lotion formula stays put

Olay Regenerist

Olay does well
+relatively cheap as beauty products to. (around $15)
+makes my skin smooth and soft
+ keeps black heads at bay
+does not aggrivate my sensitive skin
+ smells nice
+ also had a fragrance free version.
+a little goes a long way

I saw this tip on oprah.com

Had to try it.

Before bed,rub your feet with something containing Salicylic Acid. I chose stridex because they had these at the dollar store.

Let it dry.

Then slather your feet with vaseline (or a think lotion).

Cover up with cotton socks and hit the hay.

Do this every night for a week and you will have baby soft feet.

It works very well. And I don't mind sleeping in socks when the weather is below zero. This will supposedly get rid of cracked heals, but I didn't have cracked heals to start with.

Hope in a jar

A real disappointment for me
- I like the verse on the jar
+ rave reveiws from others
-not from me
-made my skin break out.
-has a plastic smell
-very expensive
Thankfully, there are much better moisturizing choices out there. I used up what I had on my hand, because I did not want this stuff on my face.

Philosophy shower gels

Lumping these all together
They are other fragrances from philosophy I have tried. They are all thick and creamy and make tons of lather...but.....
soul mates is supposed to be refreshing grapfruit, smells more like something you would use to clean the kitchen floor...no thanks.
sugar plum fairy...I had high Christmas hopes for this one. I have one word for it: STINKY!
candy cane I kind of liked. Pepperminty. Refreshing. Makes your scalp and skin tingle.
no stars for soul mates or sugar plum fairy. In fact, these two have scared me from buying any new philosophy fragrances. =(
and for candy cane, its good, but not great. I probably won't buy it again.

Philosospy Amazing Grace Shampoo, shower gel...

amazing grace
perfumed shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath
Best of Sephora?
Best of Lindaland too.
+smells fantastic - girly without being flowery or over powering.
+When you use it you just smell good.
+ a bottle lasts forever (qvc sells a supersize)
+all in one
- expensive for a cheapskate like me, but sometimes its worth a little splurge.
PS I also love Pure Grace and Baby Grace, more on them another day.

Avon Completely Clean Soothing Cleansing Lotion

+ A great basic cleanser
+ cleans without stripping
+ gets rid of make-up
+ great price
+ no added perfume
I stock up when Avon has a good sale and free shipping =)

Chicken poop

Chicken poop?

*no stink

*no color

*just nice smooth lips

-no sunscreen
